What Kind Of entertainment Does Mexico Hvae? I was wondering what type of entertainment could a visitor expect on their travels to mexico?
I like eating the worm in the bottom of the tequila bottles!
Bull fights.. Jai Ali, Dog races... off roading... horse back riding on the beach.. And oh the margaritas... Really though it depends on what part of mexico you go to. a border city (frontera) or inland... Mexico City maybe. they all offer something different...
You get a wide variety of different things. My family is thinking about a vacation their and was wondering what options we would have.
My father loves the museums in Mexico City and the surrounding area.George has a great idea, sitting on a beach watching the scenery and drinking tequila! lol. Of course this might not fit with your family demographics Ken. :)
The Mexicans love the ponies too.I included this link because the horse race community is international and someone here might like to share. Would someone reciprocate with news from the Mexican tracks?
This sounds like there's a lot of fun to be had in Mexico. What are the least known entertainment opportunities there?
When I visited Mexico, it was part of a tour, so it was just all of the obvious things -- lots of shopping, to be honest!
Ethnic music, the cuisine and lots and lots of beer and tequila.
Is there any entertaining activity in Mexico that doesn't deal with drinking tequila or other alcohols but at the same time not as boring as going into museums? I'm looking for those kinds of entertainment. I planning to bring my family (wife, 12-year old, 16-year old and 10-year old) with me on summer. We're tired of just going into beaches. Any ideas?
Mexican cuisine is known for its intense and varied flavors, colorful decoration, and variety of spices. Most of today's Mexican food is based on pre-Hispanic traditions, including the Aztecs and Maya, combined with culinary trends introduced by Spanish colonists. The conquistadores eventually combined their imported diet of rice, beef, pork, chicken, wine, garlic and onions with the native pre-Columbian food, including maize, tomato, vanilla, avocado, papaya, pineapple, chili pepper, beans, squash, limes (limón in Mexican Spanish), sweet potato, peanut and turkey. The most internationally recognized dishes include chocolate, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, tamales and mole among others. Regional dishes include mole poblano, chiles en nogada and chalupas from Puebla; cabrito and machaca from Monterrey, cochinita pibil from Yucatán, Tlayudas from Oaxaca, as well as barbacoa, chilaquiles, milanesas, and many others.
