A lot of people are retiring in Mexico because they can live better.

I have heard notohing about their healthcare system, though. Are good doctors easy to find in Mexico, or are you better off travelling to the USA once a year, for your check ups?

Mexican doctors are highly trained professionals and many americans in border cities actually go to mexico for treatment because of getting better deals.

What about prescription regulations? Are they different in Mexico than in the USA?

Comment #3 sacback from America (Contact Member) -

I think that it all depends on what type of healthcare plan you have as well as your preference. I mean I know a few of my friends who come to the USA just to get healthcare services.

Technically no, and Mexican authorities are cracking down more on scripts.. But technically, you need a mexican doctors script to get medicine at a farmacia..

In Costa Rica that is the same, however, often as an American the Farmacia will give you want you want because its easier than trying to communicate that you need a prescription. Additionally, many of the Farmcias have a "Clinc" attached that can give you a quick exam and then prescribe what you need (ie: what you want).
