Do you guys know if you get a resident visa by marrying someone from Mexico?

Comment #1 DianaR from USA (Contact Member) -

Since there residency rules are more strict than those of the U.S., I bet it isn't as easy to get this sort of visa.

Try googling it. I'm sure it can't be too hard to get. You probably just must stay married for a certain amount of time.

You have to more than stay married for a while. It is getting harder and harder for couples to get visas and stuff after marriages. even those marriages that are done out of love, and with no thought towards gaining citizenship are hard and take a long time to get approved.

just marry someone from where you from.. its so much easier

Comment #5 Lee (1) from Montevideo, Uruguay (Contact Member) -

But its not nearly as much fun.

Well, people can sure be greedy and heartless. Though how sad or sick this maybe, this is a reality. I have a friend who also like you sickos here married a not so lovely woman from England for the opportunity to be a citizen of England and to gain a visa. Well, he surely learned a lesson the hard way, as he was later deported back because of new tighten policies regarding citizenship, visa and marriage.

If you'll ask me (well, even if you don't i'll say it loud), the best way to get a visa or be a citizen of a country is via legal procedures. It could be a bit pricey but you won't be having as much trouble as my friend had.

so people are marrying other people just get citizenship. that sounds wrong and disgusting!
