I know a lot of Mexican medical professionals received their training from American Institutions and have Expat American partners. There are great stories about amazing work being done there with regard to pharmaceuticals and surgery that the American system will not allow for one reason or another. Have you folks made contact with Mexican doctors that might be your rivals/colleagues yet?

I am curious, now. What procedures are allowed in Mexico that are not allowed in the USA? What medications are allowed in Mexico, but are not allowed n the USA?

Thats a really good question.. Are there procedures cheaper too? I need hernia surgery and can afford it here in the USA..

Are you an expat by any chance? If that is the case, I guess you will need proof of good medical conduct in your home country. McClung, I bet the whole industry has many specialties..which particular one might you be talking about? It would be wise to do your research first to see how well the field has been utilized. An understanding of the laws of the country might also help. You have friends there?

"Don MD"
I am a US trained General Surgeon with over ten years of Clinical Practice experience. I also have been Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. Recently I lost my medical license due to unfair political issues. I would like to know if it is possible to become licensed to practice medicine in Mexico, with a revoked medical license in Massachusetts. Does anyone know where I could find information on credentialing and licensure?
