Now, I think the problem of gas from eating beans is an issue of the American digestive system and not the beans or Mexican food.Do you find that Mexican's are farting up the town after they eat? Nope. I think the key is to stop eating that junk food, and then beans will offer little problem for you in that department!

Goofy.Differences in cooking cause an increase or reduction in the natural reaction. Eating food you're not used to does the same. Adapting to the local food will help, but otherwise, yeah... I do think the Mexicans are farting up a storm too. Everyone is. Eat beans, fart. Nature. If this product - or Beano - helps, I'd encourage its use.

I just keep Gas-x handy or avoid foods that I know are real gas makers. I see no point in paying more for something that is hyped online!

I always add garlic to my beans when cooking them and never get any gas. Most people dont know this little trick and when you buy them from the store already made or eat them in a restuarant you have the same problem.

Oooh - How much garlic do you add? And, then do you take those pills to kill garlic breath after that?!! :) (Now we're side-stepping Epazote Mexico completely.)
