Comment #1 Bubba from deep in your mind -
I think "mystery shopping" is a complete crock, especially when your blurb makes no mention of Mexico

Mystery Shopping is a legitimate and useful business. It keeps employees on their toes and honest. It improves customer service and reduces losses.Jessica - You don't mention the fee paid for these shops in your initial post. Are they based on experience or do they vary by client? Do you have specific forms or do you rely on narrative reports? And - probably important to some - do you have a PI license or certification so your shoppers can count experience hours under you?

While this sounds nice, reimbursement isn't nearly as desirable as just getting paid up front. How long does it take to get reimbursed? What currency is the evaluator reimbursed in?

And, even more important... is it just a come on to get you to pay for a book that then tells you how to go out and try and find that kind of work?!?!?!?!?!

It's probably useless spam. Most of these programs really aren't all that great and don't pay enough to make it worthwhile to put gas in your car and drive to the restaurant, much less pay for everything and then wait for reimbursement.Sheesh!

Actually I looked at her website and it is one of the more professional 'secret shopper' sites I've seen. This is a very large industry. As a shopper you won't get rich - if you own one of these companies you will. Believe it. Once you've been providing shoppers to good clients for a while, you can slip into all kinds of security and investigations for them. For those that have received mailers or heard ads on radio - yeah, your going to be disappointed by the experience. But if you find a legitimate company to work for, you can start a part time hobby or a whole new career. eyes4
