'Corona Question' Tijuana

Hello Mexicans,

I would appreciate it if any of you could assist me with a response to the following Mexican related question.

Why do mexicans have a wedge of lime in their Corona?

Wasup frankee,

My uncle Rico told me that the reason for the lime is that hop compounds degrade when they come into contact with light. This causes beer in clear bottles to turn 'skunky.' The lime is used to mask this aroma.

Pedron explaination does sound like it come be true. Light could have something to do with it. I guess we will have to see if anyone else has any answers.
