When I was reviewing the list of topics and saw Tijuana, I kinda chuckled, because my image immediately goes to American TV shows and such that include Tijuana. I'm just wondering if you think the media image of Tijuana as the partying, dickering shopping mart is accurate, or is there much more to this Mexican city?

Not much more. The idea you buy ANYTHING there seems to be accurate. The party-town atmosphere is deliberate specifically to take money from the Northern visitors. Other than huge drug deals and wild law enforcement adventures, your description seems to be both accurate and exactly what the town wants to be known for.
